Terms of Use
Effective August 24, 2026
These terms govern your use of Kioskope, a kiosk browser with built-in scanning for iPadOS. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
License
Kioskope is a one-time purchase. On purchase, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on the Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the Usage Rules of the App Store and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. There is no subscription and no account.
What Kioskope is
Kioskope displays websites you configure and scans barcodes and text into them. It is a tool; the websites, systems, and data you use it with are yours or your organization's. You are responsible for the content you load, the configuration you set, and the accuracy and handling of any data captured or entered through the app.
Acceptable use
- Use Kioskope lawfully and only on devices and networks you are authorized to use.
- Do not use it to infringe others' rights or to load or process content you have no right to.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the app except as permitted by applicable law and the App Store terms.
Privacy
Kioskope collects no personal data and performs scanning on device. See the Privacy Policy for details.
No warranty
Kioskope is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet every operational requirement. You are responsible for validating that it fits your use before relying on it.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kioskope and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.
Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where the App Store terms or your local consumer law provide otherwise.
